Lamb Kofta (meatball) curry
A richly spiced medium heat traditional Anglo Indian Curry
When I was a child in the 1960s my mother (who became a professional cook), the youngest daughter of the station master at Hyderabad in India, used to make this curry along with coconut rice every few weeks. It was, and still is, my favourite comfort food: delicious, juicy, succulent meatballs swimming in a rich, medium heat, tomato-based sauce, served up with fragrant coconut rice. It makes my mouth water just writing about it.
At Anglo Indian Chef we have developed this kit so that we can share with you one of the delights of this traditional Anglo Indian cuisine from the days of the Raj.
